Co Mayo is near the midpoint of the Wild Atlantic Way, the world famous 1,600km stretch of coastline with over 3,500 attractions and activities along Ireland's west coast. Just 45 minutes away from Knock Airport, Westport is one of Mayo's most popular destinations, with a stunning location on Clew Bay, and the peak of Croagh Patrick visible from its Georgian streets dotted with vibrant trad pubs, modern restaurants, boutique stores and watersports centres. Westport is also a perfect base to explore the Great Western Greenway, a 42km cycling route that follows Clew Bay's coastline, taking in mountain vistas, stone walled fields and trickling streams at a slower pace.
