Car Parking in Navan

A full supply of public and private parking facilities make renting a car in Navan all the more convenient. The city has enough private parking to accommodate approximately 2,000 cars, and this is in addition to the city-regulated street parking.

Private car parks are generally well-signposted. You’ll find facilities at the Cannon Row filling station, roughly behind the Kennedy Centre; outside of St Mary’s Credit Union on the opposite side of the Kennedy Centre; along Athlumney Road; and along Kells Road (the N51).

Rates vary from one car park to the next. At present, O’Mahony’s GAA pitch (on Brews Hill) allows drivers to leave their vehicle for €1 per hour. Better value can be had from a lot south-west of the stadium, where all-day parking costs roughly twice the hourly rate at the GAA pitch.

Major shopping complexes including Navan Shopping Centre offer free parking to customers. If you’re interested in angling or an afternoon picnic on the river, drive out of town on Boyne Road and park for free at the Ramparts. As long as you’re in the area, your car will be safe, but there’s no security so leaving a vehicle here and walking to the town centre is inadvisable.
