King Johns Castle

Located on King’s Island this castle over looks part of the city of Limerick and stands on the banks of the River Shannon.
Built on the orders of King John, the castle was completed around 1200.
The castle has been subject to many sieges and has had a pivotal role in shaping the history of Limerick City. It is a must see for any visitor to the city.

The Belltable Arts Centre

Located on O’Connell Street, the Belltable Arts Centre is host to all forms of performance and visual arts through the medium of theatre, dance, music and literature.

The Hunt Museum

On Ruthland Street you will find the Hunt Museum which is home to many artefacts. From ancient Egypt to fine art of the 20th century there are many items on display. One of these artefacts is the Antrim Cross, which alone is worth the visit.
