Dublin City Museums & Galleries Guide with Irish Car Rentals
Dublin is well regarded as a centre for art and culture. This is evident from the large amount of museums and galleries in the city offering visitors a chance to sample fine art and experience the vibrant history of Dublin and Ireland.
National Museums
As well as the National Museum on Dublin’s Kildare Street, there is the Dublin Writers Museum on Parnell Square which celebrates the many Irish writers. Also worth a visit is the Irish Museum of Modern Art at the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham.
Trinity College
Established in 1592 Trinity College is one of the oldest colleges in Ireland and is also one of the most esteemed colleges in Ireland. Centrally located at the end of Grafton Street (one of Dublin’s main shopping thoroughfare) the college grounds have some of Dublin’s most ornate buildings. Trinity College is also the place in which the Book of Kells is stored and is well worth the visit for this alone.
