County Cork or as it is known locally 'The Republic of Cork' or 'The Rebel County' Cork is the biggest county in Ireland. Cork played a major role in Irish history being one of the focal points of the War of Independence as well as the Irish Civil War. Places of interest include the famous Blarney Stone as well as the Port of Cobh. Many transatlantic crossings stopped off in Cobh including the Titanic.
